Like many of our clients, we’re a well-established family-run firm – our roots in Southport go back to xx.
David Taylor and Katharine Thompson run the Stubbs Parkin team –David’s been here for nearly 30 years, since he took over the firm in 1986, while Katharine joined in 1996, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2003.
Meet the team
A team of more than ten experienced accountants, client managers and technicians, work alongside David and Katharine, across our accounts, audit and client advisory teams. Every one of our clients has their own account manager, so you’ve always got a name to call or pop in and chat to, who’ll oversee your entire account.
Our Departments
Stubbs Parkin’s divided into six main departments – payroll services, VAT, bookkeeping and self assessment, which sit in our general accounting/ compliance team, business support and audit.

Each time has a client manager, who’s responsible for looking after the clients in their department, and matching the skills of the SP team to your business’ needs. Melissa and Marisa manage the accounting team, and Andy the business support team; David heads the audit department, while our MD Katharine leads on the client advisory side.
